Having always been intrigued by opposites, Richard MacDonald has the range to be able to create both sculptures of delicate, archetypal femininity and powerful, athletic masculinity. In “Doves of Peace”, we see the combination of both: the softness and delicacy of the female and the strength and power of the male. Originally inspired by the events of September 11, 2001, Doves of Peace embodies the artist’s ongoing study of humanity by celebrating love, togetherness, and peace.
