Overview

"I have always felt that painting is what I was meant to do; to create these peculiar visions of the world that seem to call out to me. Not to replicate what I see, but to reimagine it, and incorporate new painting ideas and techniques to express a more personal understanding of the subject."

Timothy Mulligan attended Sacramento City College and received a degree in Fine Art from California State University, Sacramento. He studied under notable artists as Gregory Kondos, Gerald Walburg, and Peter VandenBerge. His paintings have been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout California and across the nation. He has received numerous awards and his work has been featured in National and International Art magazines: the Artist's Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine, American Art Collector, International Artist Magazine, and in Spotlight Magazine and Circle Quarterly Art Review published in France. His paintings are in the permanent collections of the Hilbert Museum of California Art at Chapman University, Orange, CA, the City of Sacramento, the Sacramento City College Permanent Collection, and private collections throughout the country and internationally.
