“Dancing Waters, Stainless Steel” is a striking new work that captures the movement and fluidity for which the artist has become so recognized. Standing approximately eight feet tall, the composition of the female figure, diving and seemingly weightless, is one of Richard MacDonald’s most unique and beautiful female forms, with classical features that reflect serenity and peace. The transitional patina of blue and gray symbolizes the color and reflective qualities of water and adds wonderful depth to the work. The meaning of this piece is richly layered and will keep revealing new secrets over time. Sculpture is the poetry of form, and with the timeless words of Rumi, there are additional dimensions to be discovered.
