"Surrealism is destructive, but it destroys only what it considers to be shackles limiting our vision."  - Salvador Dalí

Dawson Cole Fine Art is pleased to present “Salvador Dalí: The Tribes of Israel” at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel.  Best known for his unique and imaginative artwork characterized by dreamlike landscapes, melting clocks, and distorted figures, Salvador Dalí often explored the subconscious mind and challenged traditional artistic conventions. He was one of the most prominent figures of the surrealist movement and left a lasting impact on the art world.

This rare collection of etchings entitled, "The Tribes of Israel", was created in 1972, and consists of 13 individual prints - each representing one of the tribes of Israel as mentioned in the Old Testament of the Bible. Employing his characteristic symbolism and visual language to depict each tribe in a distinct and symbolic manner, Dalí created compositions filled with intricate details, inviting viewers to explore the imagery and uncover hidden meanings. The “Tribes of Israel” encompass an intersection of spirituality, mythology, and imagination resulting in visually striking and thought-provoking representations of the biblical tribes.
